According to cretalive.gr, the dead are a 50-year-old woman and a young man. Information also speaks of a third dead person and about 15 injured, who are also being transported to the hospital in farm cars.

Unknown people went to Vorizia and started to search houses. The information speaks of a vendetta between two families with the situation being dramatic.

According to information from Patris.gr, more than 2,000 bullets fell. Among the injured are policemen who rushed to the area and tried to put an end to the bloodshed. Kalashnikov bullets fell both inside the village and on the surrounding mountains.

The injured are being taken to the Venizelio Hospital of Heraklion, while strong police forces are operating at the scene to prevent further escalation and control the situation.

This unprecedented act of revenge has caused great mobilization in the police, who are in a state of emergency and are coordinating to send forces to Vorizia from all over Crete.

Scenes of insanity also prevail at the nearby Messara Health Center, while many ambulances rush to the area.

It all started when on Friday night (31.10.2025) an improvised explosive device exploded in a house under construction in the Vorizia area of ​​the Phaistos Municipality of Heraklion.

According to the police, the deafening noise that was heard caused a disturbance, but the explosion, fortunately, did not cause any injuries, only material damage to the house under construction in which the explosive device was placed.

AT Phaistos men and pyrotechnicians immediately arrived at the scene. Today, an autopsy was carried out at the site by police officers of the Heraklion Crime Investigation and Prosecution Sub-Directorate.

Many fear a revival of the feud of the 1950swhere within just a few hours, six residents of the Riziti village lost their lives while 14 more were injured.
