OR body of an unidentified man, in advanced decay was found in the sea area of Fodele in Heraklion on Wednesday night (30.10.2025).
According to Creta24.gr information, body belonging to a man about 55 years old and carrying clothes, was picked up by a Heraklion Port Authority vessel.
It was then picked up by a funeral home and was transferred to the University General Hospital of Heraklion (PAGNI), where an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death of the unfortunate man.
A preliminary investigation into the case is being carried out by the Central Port Authority of Heraklion, while the identity of the deceased has not yet been made known.
