Disruption prevailed earlier Monday (05.05.25) in Heraklion, Crete, after fire that broke out in hotel.
The fire broke out under unknown conditions so far in a hotel where it is located in the area of Agia Pelagia in the Municipality of Malevizi, with flashnew.gr information reporting that it started from a space where the waste was placed.
According to the same source, the flames were extended to trees and open spaces of the tourist accommodation.
The hotel’s evacuation operation was set up at the site, and fortunately there were no injuries from the incident.
Eight firefighters with three vehicles participated in the extinguishing work, who managed to extinguish it before expanding to adjacent spaces.
A preliminary investigation is being carried out on the causes of the fire.
