Heating allowance: The AADE platform opens tomorrow – Everything beneficiaries need to know

The application submission platform of the Independent Public Revenue Authority opens tomorrow Monday (10.11.25) (AADE) about the Heating Allowance for the winter period 2025-2026.

AADE, through the “myHeating” electronic application, invites households that meet the income and property criteria to submit their application in time.

The heating allowance is tax-free, non-seizable and is not offset against debts to the State.

Who are entitled to it?

  • Beneficiaries are natural persons (unmarried or married, living together, widowed, divorced or separated) who use as their main residence a place in which they spend for heating with gas oil, blue kerosene, natural gas, LPG, firewood, biomass (pellets), thermal energy through district heating or electricity.
  • The income criteria define: up to 16,000 euros annual family income for a single person household, up to 24,000 euros for a couple โ€“ with increments of 5,000 euros for each child. For a single-parent family up to 29,000 euros income, also increased by 5,000 euros for each child after the first.
  • The asset criteria provide for upper limits on the value of immovable property: 200,000 euros for single or widowed/divorced, 260,000 euros for married or cohabiting couples โ€“ with increases of 40,000 euros for each dependent child.

How much is the aid amount?

  • The total amount to be allocated amounts to approx 195 million euros for over 1.2 million households.
  • The minimum aid amount it cannot be less than 100 euros.
  • The maximum amount can reach up to 1,200 euros in areas with a very high climate factor.

What should beneficiaries do?

  • To submit application on the “myHeating” platform of AADEusing TAXISnet codes
  • To declare it type of fuel used for heating (eg oil, natural gas, firewood, biomass, etc.).
  • To register them required documents for fuel purchases โ€“ except for heating oil whose crossing is made through the system “HEPHAESTUSยป.
  • For apartment buildings with a common burner or district heatingto state the administrator/representative and the electricity supply number corresponding to the apartment building
