The suspect for the fires in Xanthi was arrested for arson from addition and constantly in the Rural area of Genisa.
According to a statement from the Fire Department on Saturday (06.09.2025), the arrest was made in the context of the autopsy procedure by investigators of the Xanthi Fire Service Administration with the assistance of ELAS.
The arrest concerned a fire on September 2, a fire on September 4 and 9 fires on September 5.
The detainee is being held and will be led on Tuesday, September 9, before the competent prosecutor’s office.
