Hamburg: 12 wounded knife attack on the Central Railway Station – A woman arrested

A woman was arrested after knife attackinjuring 12 people in Hamburg of Germany on Friday night (23.05.2025).

The incident occurred at the Hamburg Central Railway Station. The knife attack on the woman left several injured, and police rushed to the spot immediately.

Initial reports reported 8 injured, but police then clarified that 3 people are in critical condition, three seriously injured and six have less serious injuries.

In a post on X, Hamburg police reported a “big police operation”.

“A large police operation is currently underway at Hamburg’s #centralStation! We are investigating the incident and we will provide you with more information soon, “the information said.

“We are investigating the history and will provide more information soon,” the police added.

The railway line around the central station has been suspended, according to local reports.
