OR Hamas returned last night (7/11/2025) the remains of the 23rd Israeli hostage held in their captivity in Gaza since October 7, 2023, identified as Lior Rudev. The Israel now he is waiting to receive 5 more bodies of hostages to end this nightmare of recent years.
The remaining dead hostages in Gaza who have not yet been returned are Meny Godard, Hadar Goldin, Ran Gvili, Dror Or and Sudthisak Rinthalak, and Hamas said earlier that the remains of a hostage were found in Khan Yunis and will be handed over at 9 p.m.
In detail, the five hostages of October 7 are Manny Godard73, who was murdered in Kibbutz Beeri by Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorists along with his wife, Ayelet, O Ran Gvili, 24, who was killed fighting Hamas terrorists in Kibbutz Alumim, the Dror Dor48, who was murdered by Hamas terrorists at his home in Kibbutz Beeri, the Sudthisak Rinthalak43, who was murdered in Beeri, where he worked as a farmer, but also Lt. Hadar Goldinwho was killed in the 2014 Gaza war.
Who is the last hostage to “come home”
The body of the hostage handed over last Friday night in Gaza by the Palestinian Islamist movements Hamas and Islamic Jihad has indeed been identified as that of Israeli-Argentine hostage Lior Rudev, deputy security coordinator at Kibbutz Nir Yitzhak and member of the civil defense team.
“Following the identification process by the National Forensic Institute (…) the Israeli army informed the family of Lior Rudev that (his body) was repatriated for burial,” the Israeli army said in a statement.
After more than two painful years, the body of Warrant Officer (Res.) Lior Rudaeff has been identified. Lior fell in battle on October 7, defending his community in Kibbutz Nir Yitzhak.

Israeli-Argentine Lior Rudev was killed on October 7, 2023 in Nir Yitzhak, as he was trying to protect the kibbutz it along with four other residents from the unprecedented attack by Hamas militants that day in Israel, which sparked the war in Gaza. Rudeff was 61 years old and his dead body he had been transferred that day to Gaza where he has been held ever since.
