Together with the 27 Greek participants of the Sumud Sumud Humanitarian Aid Mission, he arrived from the Israel Swedish activist Greta Toenberg at Eleftherios Venizelos Airport on Monday afternoon (06.10.2025).
The flight with Greek activists departed from Eilat’s Ramon Airport, and landed in Athens at 17:00. Crowds of people rushed to Eleftherios Venizelos with banners, placards and Palestinian flags and welcomed those who participated – including Greta Tancyberg – on the mission humanitarian aid of Global Sumudilla Sumudilla, sailing toward the Gauze and was intercepted on October 3 by the authorities of Israel.
The 22 -year -old Swedish activist, who has already talked about the horror she experienced as a prisoner in prison, denounced the war currently in Gaza, referring to genocide, while in her statements she said she was tortured by Israeli soldiers.
“I want to be very clear: a genocide is committed in front of our eyes, a genocide that is broadcast live on all our mobile phones,” he said.
“No one has the right to say that he doesn’t know what’s going on. No one in the future will be able to say that he did not know it. According to international law, states have a legal obligation to prevent genocide from happening. This means to exert real pressure and stop weapon transport. But we do not see that the least of our governments, “the activist added.

It is recalled that more than 40 ships involved in the Sumud Sumud mission were intercepted last Thursday before reaching the Gaza Strip.
A total of 400 activists and politicians on the ships were arrested by the Israeli authorities and detained in the Negev desert.
The repatriation of 27 Greeks
The Foreign Ministry has announced that 161 nationals from 16 European countries landed in Athens after being deported from Israel to participate in a gazeal assistance.
Israel expelled the most activists in the convoy to the damaged Palestinian territories, including Swedish activist for the Greta Tenberg climate.
Tancyberg was on the plane to Greece, while ten other convoys were deported to Slovakia.
