OR 89th Thessaloniki International Exhibition opens its gates and the Greek police It gives the “present” with a completely refreshed, interactive character. The aim of this year’s presence is to bring the citizen to the focus, through experiences that combine technology, information and participation. With slogan “Citizen Security: Our Task, our Common Case”, Visitors are invited to get to know ELAS services, to participate in experiential actions and to find out how the daily life is directly linked to the protection of society.
At our information center visitors will be able to:
- • Get acquainted with 11 Greek Police services through modern videos, digital applications and specially designed infodesks,
- • To participate in mystery games and simulations, living experiences that highlight the daily action of the police,
- • To be informed by interactive presentations on issues that directly touch their daily lives: domestic violence, minors protection, cyber security, border protection, road safety, animal protection,
- • To see closely how the country’s most up -to -date security documents – IDs, passports and driving licenses are produced but also to identify fakes,
- • To discover the forensic science behind the police investigation,
- • Become a detective that solve organized crime cases and coordinate police forces to intervene in difficult incidents.
This year, technology comes into the service of information: Virtual reality, digital tools and interactive scenarios They enable the visitor to learn experientially and leave more up -to -date, more protected, safer.
The journey begins by receiving a special “passport”, which guides step by step in the activities of our services.
Any attitude – from the control of security documents and border protection to crimes, the prevention of domestic violence, cyber security and traffic laws – is a link in the same chain for citizen safety.
With each participation, the visitor “seals” his passport, acquires knowledge and experience and realizes that all services are linked to each other with a more secure, fairer, more humane society.
