Greece Investment Workshop – United Arab Emirates took place at Athensunder the auspices of Foreign Ministryin collaboration with Enterprise Greece, with the participation of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, responsible for financial diplomacy and extroversion, Tasu Hatzivasiliou.
In the work of the workshop, senior executives of state and private businesses from the UAE, 35 leading Greek companies, as well as representatives of ministries and state bodies, participated. The Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology of the UAE, Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, while the Greek government was represented by Mr. Hadjivasiliou.
The deputy minister, after conveying the greetings of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis, highlighted the constant progress made by bilateral economic relations, stressing that the workshop is taking place after Prime Minister Kyriakou’s recent visit. As he said, the United Arab Emirates is one of our strongest partners in the Arab world.
In addition, it welcomed the original investment target of 4 billion euros, stressing that the Greek economy continues to offer significant investment opportunities.
Mr. Hadjivasiliou also noted in his position that Greece’s geostrategic position makes it a key gateway to the East -Europe -Europe Economic Corridor. Working with the United Arab Emirates, we can enhance Greece’s interconnections in ports, railways and logistics, enhancing the interconnection and flow of commerce.
