Through the IRIS scheme, DIAS further simplifies direct mobile payments within Europe for its over 4 million active users, thereby contributing to the formation of a common network that is expected to exceed 105 million citizens in 10 European countries: Greece, Portugal, Portugal Andorra.
The announcement of Greece’s accession was made yesterday as part of the 9th Payments 360 ° Conference Powered by Dias, in the presence of senior executives of European payments and government representatives. Greece’s accession to Europa is a continuation of the institutional course of DIAS and the strategy implemented in cooperation with the country’s banking system, the Bank of Greece and the State.
The interoperability of the A2A solutions among participating countries is technically and institutionally supported by EMPSA (European Mobile Payment Systems Association), in which DIAS is an active member. EUROPA is complementary to European Wero/EPI initiatives and is a realistic step of implementation of the vision for a single real -time electronic payment market.
