OR Women’s National welcomes Switzerland to the SEF at its premiere at Eurobasket 2025 to be hosted until June 28 at the SEF.
The Women’s National has no room for error against Switzerland, which is by far the weakest team in the group. Peter Preca’s whole is called upon to enter the event, taking the first step in qualifying for the quarter -finals, in a highly competitive group.
For Greece this is the eleventh participation in a better Eurobasket in fourth in 2017. On the other hand, Switzerland participates for the fifth time in the finals of the event and first after 69 years, as the last time was in 1956! Its best was Thursday in the first women’s Eurobasket in 1938, but when they were just five teams.
It is recalled that the first two teams of each of the four groups qualify for the octave, while a secondary goal for the Greek band is to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.
The start of the action in the women’s Eurobasket and the first group will take place today in the SEF, with the Turkey-France (ERT2 / Novasports Start).
The Greek team will face France on Thursday at 8:30 pm and Turkey on Saturday, also at 20:30.
France is the ultimate favorite to win first place, with Greece and Turkey playing virtually for second place.
