OR Women’s National welcomes Switzerland to the SEF at its premiere at Eurobasket 2025 to be hosted until June 28 at the SEF.
The Women’s National has no room for error against Switzerland, which is by far the weakest team in the group. Peter Preca’s whole is called upon to enter the event, taking the first step in qualifying for the quarter -finals, in a highly competitive group.
For Greece this is the eleventh participation in a better Eurobasket in fourth in 2017. On the other hand, Switzerland participates for the fifth time in the finals of the event and first after 69 years, as the last time was in 1956! Its best was Thursday in the first women’s Eurobasket in 1938, but when they were just five teams.
The first two teams each of the four groups qualify for the octave, while a secondary goal for the Greek band is to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.
The start of the action in the women’s Eurobasket and the first group took place with Turkey-France (69-71).
On Thursday (19.06.2025), France will be on the road to National Greece at 8:30 pm in the SEF, and at 17:30, Turkey faces Switzerland.
