The sixth request disbursement resources from the recovery and resilience fund (TAA), € 2.1 billion in grants, today the Deputy Minister of Finance, Nikos Papathanassis, submitted to the European Commission after the fulfillment of 39 new mountains and goals.
To date, Greece has successfully completed 5 payment requests and the total amount of disbursement from TAA resources to the country is € 21.3 billion, exceeding 59% of the total budget of the National Plan “Greece 2.0”.
With the completion of the 6th request, which has been submitted today, total disbursements to Greece will now amount to EUR 23.4 billion, so 65% of its total resources, while disbursements in particular grants will reach € 12.04 billion, so 66% of available resources.
The request for the loan of € 1.8 billion will be submitted in September.
The milestones fulfilled for the submission of the 6th request depict the progress of implementation in projects and reforms in a number of key areas for improving the daily lives of citizens, such as public education, health, social care, reducing energy costs and safety.
Indicatively included:
- The installation of more than 36200 interactive tables in high school and high school and vocational education classrooms as well as in elementary school departments.
- Completion and operation of the 1st phase of the electronic health file.
- Improving the institutional framework for personal doctor.
- The start of social benefits to nearly 1.3 million beneficiaries, through a prepaid card.
- Contracts for the installation of smart LED lighting systems on road networks, as well as all road safety improvement projects at 7,780 dangerous points of the provincial and local road network. These are over 150 projects for which regions and municipalities of the country are funded by the Recovery and Rules Fund.
- The installation of 11,580 photovoltaic systems for which individuals and farmers were subsidized through the “Photovoltaics on the Roof” and “Photovoltaic in the field”
In addition, the infrastructure upgrades were signed the contracts for the building infrastructures of 9 research centers and approved the funding of 30 proposals for tourist ports. The efficiency of the justice system is reinforced by the start of the Judicial Police and the training of more than 7000 judges and judicial officials in digital skills.
