As Google continues its remarkable achievements in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Debbie Weinstein will lead the company’s attempt to ensure that every person in the region of EEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) will benefit from innovative artificial intelligence technology. According to Public First, the products, platforms and tools of Google contributed about 179 billion euros to economic activity in 2023 only to the European Union, and enabled businesses to employ over 3 million people.
Debbie Weinstein will focus on helping users, businesses, partners and governments in all countries in the EMA region to use the important, unused – so far – opportunities for the development of artificial intelligence. A recent survey conducted by the Implement Consulting Group on behalf of Google estimates that productive artificial intelligence (Genai) could add between 1.2 and 1.4 trillion euros to the GDP of the European Union, or otherwise reaching 8%over the next ten years.

Over 29,000 people work for Google in the EMA area in 56 offices, in 35 countries. There are Google teams throughout the area that manufacture products, from Android, Chrome and Cloud, to search and YouTube, while managing the company’s technological infrastructure. Also, the EMA area is leading significant progress in the research of artificial intelligence. Google Deepmind, based in London, has scored significant innovations, such as the Nobel Prize -winning Alphafold, which accelerates scientific research in many areas of science. In Kenya and Ghana, Google researchers use artificial intelligence to predict floods and boost food safety.

Debbie Weinstein has joined Google in 2014 and has since taken on leadership roles at both regional and global levels. Until recently, he has been Vice -President and General Manager of Google for the United Kingdom and Ireland.
