A healthy baby girl was born on the night of Good Thursday (17/4) in an EKAB ambulance during a break by the Municipality of Spata – Artemis to the hospital.
The birth occurred at 23:00, when a young woman transferred to the maternity hospital felt her baby … couldn’t wait anymore. The crew of the Artemis Mobile Medical Unit responded immediately and professionally, helping to give birth to the infant in the ambulance.
According to a post by Deputy Mayor Spata – Artemis and EKAB rescuer, Panagiotis Lambrou, the operation was completed with complete success. Doctors and rescuers offered the necessary care to both the mother and the newborn, ensuring their good condition.
A short time later, a mother and daughter were safely handed over to Alexandra Hospital, where their care continued.
