Three 17 -year -olds, who were arrested in Glyfada on Saturday night (15.03.2025) for two consecutive robberies against minors, were released after their apology.
These are three high school students who allegedly participated in a gang, consisting of about 12 to 17 people – unknown to the authorities – who are accused of attacking minors in Glyfada and using violence, earned money and personal belongings.
According to authorities, a 20 -year -old was also a victim of their attacks, who attacked fists and kicks.
They were prosecuted for a gang, bodily harm against weak people and co -conspirators, and were led to the investigator of minors.
‘You confused me with another’
One of the defendants attributed his involvement in … confusion of police officers. According to reports, he claimed before the investigator:
“They have confused me with a child with whom we wore the same hat color. Suddenly we heard a lady shouting that she would call the police, we went to her and saw a person falling down.
We went close, we asked him what happened and he told us that about 15 people were attacked. After he was down, I helped him get up and thanked me. I don’t know who the perpetrators are. “
What the 17 -year -old claimed was reportedly testified by his co -defendant, while the third arrested requested to testify his friend to certify that he was with him at the time of the incidents.
Will the cameras ‘talk’
At the same time, a request for the granting of the video material from the security cameras in the area, which validates the claims of his clients, is demanding the 17 -year -old defense lawyer, Dimitris Zorbas.
“At our request, we look forward to the video material from the cameras around the stadium in Esperides Square as well as from the surrounding stores. The video material is expected to prove our allegations and the case be put into the file for my clients, “he says.
The three defendants were imposed the restrictive term of the appearance twice a month on the police station.
“This development is an indication of the confidence of justice in the evidence of the case file and in the positions of defense. We note that my clients remain presumed innocent, as the criminal procedure is ongoing and the truth will be highlighted through the proper awarding of justice, “Mr Zorbas notes.
