Glyfada: Two arrests for the double murder


The authorities proceeded to arrest 2 people for the double murder which took place on Monday morning (09.12.204) at Glyfada.

After the double murder that took place in front of the frightened eyes of children and passers-by, the police proceeded to bring in 2 Turks who shortly after turned into arrests.

In fact, one of them was the gunman of the massacre, according to MEGA.

The perpetrators were allegedly four, two armed and their two accomplices who are estimated to still be wanted by the authorities.

The investigation so far has shown that the carnage happened in context clearing accounts among criminal organizations in Turkey.

The victims have not yet been identified.

The timeline of the massacre

It all happened shortly after 10 in the morning, when 2 armed men entered a store in Ano Glyfada and opened fire on 3 men of Turkish origin.

The 3 men ran out of the store to escape the bullets with the perpetrators chasing them to finish their murderous plan.

A few seconds later, the 2 men fell dead on the street while the 3rd victim was taken by ambulance to the hospital.

“They were shooting at everything and everywhere”

Eyewitness talking to newsit.gr for the double murder in Glyfada he explained that the assailants were shooting in all directions while the day before there was intense movement at the scene as motorbikes drove around as if doing “patrols”.

“The perpetrators were shooting at everything, even the cars, they didn’t calculate where the bullets were falling,” he said characteristically, stressing that there were many people with children.

According to the same witness, on Sunday afternoon about 10 to 15 people were moving strangely at the scene, as if they were setting up an ambush. In fact, at the sight of the police, they ran away.
