The president of the Athens Medical Association seems to have fallen victim to fraud, George Patoulisas it appears in a false announcement of a product to treat arthritis.
The recently -released false advertisement bears the logo of the Athens Medical Association, but George Patoulis warns that it has nothing to do with the product.
Advertising promotes a product called “Hondro Sol”, claiming to be the only solution for the treatment of joints, promising pain relief within 7 days, saysropedia.gr.
In addition, according to Mr Patoulis, it includes the false claim that more than 248,000 people have abandoned medicines, such as ibuprofen and diclofenak, in favor of the product.
“I would like to state categorically that this announcement has not been drafted or approved by me. Its content is misleading and is not based on scientific data. ‘Hondro Sol’ is not an approved treatment, and the allegations that are being promoted are non -existent and potentially dangerous to public health, ”the ISA president said in a post on Facebook.
“I warn the public not to trust such false ads and to consult solely licensed doctors and pharmacists on health issues. The necessary legal procedures have already been initiated to address this fraud and to protect my name and the credibility of the Athens Medical Association, “Mr Patoulis concludes in his statement.
It is recalled that, recently the National Medicines Organization (AEO) issued a warning to consumers for three non -approved medicinal products circulating online for arthritis, Hondroflex, Hondrodox and Hondrolife.
