“We are in the process of rationalizing both sectoral and spatial specialization to determine the island’s equivalent equivalent. Today a program contract was signed between the General Secretariat for the Aegean-Issue Policy and the Center for Planning and Economic Research for the integrated implementation of the island entrepreneurship barometer and the price observatory on the island area on a yearly basis, “the Deputy Minister of Maritime Stefanos Gikas Responding to Parliament to a timely question by PASOK MP George Nikitiadis about “two -digit increases in truck fares”.
In this regard, the Deputy Minister reiterated that “the ferry tickets for passengers and their passenger vehicles will not increase during the summer.”
Concerning the origins of the transport equivalent, Mr Gikas said that as “we have announced, the next few days will be paid for the passengers and will concern a large number of months for 2024, while businesses will be paid in the second half of 2022 as the required checks were completed”.
On the subsidies of the barren lines, the deputy minister noted that “in 2019 the subsidies of the barren lines were only € 90 million, today that amounts to € 152 million and the provision for the next tender that these subsidies are € 168 million, with the thumbs of € 168 million.” He pointed out that an international competition is being held for the subsidies of the barren lines and is all controlled by the Court of Auditors.
Regarding the signing of the program contract between the Aegean-Island Policy and the Center for Planning and Economic Research for the Integrated Implementation of the Barometer Island Entrepreneurship and the Price Observatory on the island area on an annual basis, the Deputy Minister said: Categories of goods that also affect the cost of operating island businesses.
