Yiannis Gianniotas, who signed a contract until the summer of 2026 with a renewal option for another year, was born on April 29, 1993 in Neochori, Halkidiki and joined the academies of our team from a young age.
In the 2011-’12 season, Gianniotas made his debut with his first team of ARIS and scored 3 goals in 20 league and cup appearances, showing his abilities early. The following year his role in the team was upgraded and after an excellent season (26 appearances, 5 goals, 1 assists), he retired in the summer of 2013 for Germany and Fortuna Dusseldorf.
His absence from the Greek Championship didn’t last long, as the 2014-’15 season found him in Asteras Tripolis, where he held a “full” season (39 appearances, 6 goals, 3 assists).
In the summer of 2015, Olympiacos bought Yiannis Gianniotas and six months later the international striker was borrowed to APOEL in search of more time. In Cyprus, Gianniotas “stuck” and celebrated two championships in one and a half seasons, recording 61 appearances 13 goals and 6 assists in the league, Super Cup, Champions League and Europa League.
A one -year loan followed in Spain. Real Valladolid in her effort to rise to La Liga incorporated Gianniotas into her potential and he made another full season with 33 goals, 3 goals and 4 assists in Segunda Division and Copa del Rey.
After being free from Olympiacos, in the 2018-’19 season he wore the AEK jersey. (13 entries) before returning to Cyprus in the summer of 2019 this time on behalf of Apollo Limassol. After two satisfactory seasons with Apollo’s jersey (57 appearances, 8 goals, 6 assists) in a league, cup and European competitions, the Greek striker was released and returned to Greece.
Initially, he fought for half a season with Apollo Smyrnis jersey before moving to Livadia in the summer of 2022.
In Levadiakos he first lived the relegation and then a return to the Super League. The season ended by Gianniotas ended his three -year period in the Boeotia team (71 appearances, 11 goals, 17 assists), contributing the most for Levadiakos’ stay in the big professional category.
Yiannis Gianniotas has represented National Greece in all age levels, reaching a men’s level in March 2015 (9 appearances, 2 goals).
