Germany intercepted by Eurofighters Russian spy aircraft in Baltic

German Air Force took off on Sunday morning (21.09.2025) two Eurofighters in order to recognize a Russian spy IL-20M military aircraft that had entered the airspace over the Baltic Sea.

According to Reuters, after visual recognition, German fighters Eurofighters accompanied the plane until they delivered it to NATO units operating from Sweden.

“Once again, the rapid reaction force, consisting of two Eurofighters, was ordered by NATO to investigate an unrecognized aircraft without a flight plan or radio communication in the international airspace,” the German Air Force said in a statement.
