After the second telematch of the three candidates for chancellor, his Armin Lassett of the Christian Democrats and Christian Socialists (CDU / CSU), of Olaf Solts Social Democrats (SPD) and Greens (Die Gruenen), the non-participating parties, namely the Alternative for Germany (AfD), the Left (Die Linke) and the Liberals (FDP), criticized the issues from the ARD and ZDF networks.
FDP President Christian Lindner wrote on Twitter that substantive issues such as education were not even discussed. Instead, the redistribution of resources was mainly discussed. Above all, however, there was a lack of ideas on how the German economy could be strengthened after the crisis in order to find resources for social and ecological projects.
The leader of the Left Party (Die Linke) party ballot, Dietmar Bartz, criticized the fact that the telematch did not talk about child poverty, rising inflation and equalization of living conditions in East and West Germany. But Bartz praised the fact that a “central” question in the debate was whether or not the Left party would be included in a governing coalition after the federal election.
AfD co-chair Tino Kroupala told ZDF that middle-class concerns were of little concern. For example, the general rise in prices and the need for tax reform were not affected at all.
“Politico” also wrote with surprise: “Apart from domestic policy, climate policy and health policy, there is obviously no time left for irrelevant issues, such as foreign and European policy.”
Representatives of the parties that participated with their candidates for chancellor, however, expressed their satisfaction for the telematch of the three. A quick lightning poll on ARD showed that The winner was Olaf Solz, but the other two candidates, Lassett and Burbock, did well.
