German army was instructed to be fully equipped by 2029 – fears of Russian attack

The head of the Armed Forces at Germany Carsten Broyer ordered the army To be fully equipped with weapons and other material by 2029, according to a document presented by Reuters.

The document entitled “Priority Instructions to Strengthen readiness”, signed by Broyer on May 19, states that Germany will achieve the goal of fully equipping the army with the help of funds made available thanks to the loosening of the “debt brake”.

In the directive, Broyer sets priorities for weapons to be acquired or partially developed by the priorities set by NATO. They refer to the strengthening of Germany’s anti -aircraft defense, in particular with the aim of preventing roads.

Last year, sources told Reuters that NATO would ask Berlin to quadruple the capabilities of anti -aircraft defense, including short -range systems, such as Patriot arrays.

Another priority is the ability to make precision blows on targets that are more than 500 kilometers, as well as behind the enemy lines.

Broyer also calls for German ammunition to be replenished and increased its stocks.

Other priorities mentioned in the document are the rapid expansion of Germany’s potential in the electronic war and the creation of a durable system of “aggressive and defensive potential” in space.

This is because by 2029, Russia may have rebuilt its forces sufficient to attack NATO territory, according to Broyer’s estimates and other executives.
