In Constantinople is the Minister of Foreign Affairs George Gerapetritis where it was accepted by AUTP. him Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.
During his stay in Constantinople, Mr Gerapetritis will also make contacts with bodies of the Greek community. At the end of the meeting of Mr. Gerapetritis with the Ecumenical Patriarch, the Foreign Minister said:
“Today I had the special honor to be accepted by the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew at the headquarters of the Ecumenical Patriarchate and in particular at the Patriarchal Urban School of Marasli, which is a real symbol of Orthodoxy in Constantinople. Our wish is at some point to reopen as a educational, pedagogical center of Politician Rome, with educators and students.
I had a long and extremely beneficial debate with the Patriarch. We had the opportunity to discuss issues related to the Greek community, the Greek community of Constantinople, the Ecumenical Patriarchate and to discuss the issues that concern and the Halki Theological School. Our hope is in the future to reopen. It will be a very powerful symbol of universality, tolerance and culture.
The Greek State will always stand in a helper in the action of solidarity of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, which supports not only Orthodoxy but also the great world -view principles of love and solidarity, which must in such a troubled time for the world.
