Georgiadis on the 16-year-old girl who died in Gazi: “The girl was taken immediately by EKAV. From call to arrival it took 7 minutes”

The Minister of Health emphasized that toxicological tests will shed light on the case

For the death of the 16-year-old girl outside a club in Gazi the Minister of Health spoke on the morning of Thursday 23/10 Adonis Georgiadis. Emphasizing that the hospital was the one that informed the police, he pointed out that the toxicology tests will shed “light” on the case.

“The girl was taken immediately by the ambulance. From call to arrival arrived in Gazi in 7 minutes. The girl was taken in practically dead, apathetic with mydriasis. They took her to Evangelism according to the protocol, everything was done as it should be and the resuscitation effort and the intubation and the drugs, the doctors did everything humanly possible to keep her alive. The attempt to inform the police was made, EKAB has no responsibility” Adonis Georgiadis told Action 24.

“It’s great that the police were informed. What happened in terms of the assessment of the incident, I do not know. When the doctors found death, they sent it for toxicological tests to the medical examiner and at the same time informed the parents,” the Minister of Health pointed out during his interview.

“When EKAV received him, technically the child was still alive. What caused the death will be shown by the toxicology tests, when they come out I will tell you what the girl had taken” he said adding that “when resuscitation efforts ended, the hospital contacted the police and the body was sent for a forensic investigation as is done in cases of suspicious death”
