Gaza: ‘The three bodies handed over by Hamas do not belong to hostages’, says Israel

The three bodies that were delivered on Friday night (31.10.25) to Israel from the Hamas with the mediation of the Red Cross, they do not belong to any of the hostages kidnapped by the Palestinian organization during its attack on October 7, 2023, as a spokesman for the Israeli army said, today Saturday (1.11.25).

A source of the Israeli armed forces had already pointed out last night, at the time of the delivery of the bodies by Hamas, that he did not believe that these were the remains of hostages.

Under the ceasefire agreement, Hamas released on October 13 the 20 hostages it had been holding alive in the Gaza Strip. It was also supposed to hand over the remains of 28 dead hostages, but has so far returned 17 bodies, citing difficulties in finding them under the rubble of buildings flattened by Israeli attacks on the Palestinian enclave.

The delays have angered the Israeli government, which accuses Hamas of violating the terms of the truce deal.
