Gaza: nearly 1,400 Palestinians were killed by May while trying to get food

War has no end to its lane Gauze. Since May 27, at least 1,373 Palestinians have been killed while trying to find food, according to a complaint issued on Friday (01.08.2025) the office of the High Commissioner United Nations For human rights in Palestinian territories.

Although the United Nations recognizes the presence of Palestinian armed elements in the affected areas of Gaza, they point out that there is no information indicating that they were involved in these attacks.

“The majority of these deaths were caused by the Israeli army,” the report said.

Among the victims, 859 people were killed near the GHF (GAZA Humanitarian Foundation) distribution centers – supported by Israel and the US – and 514 others were killed along the routes followed by the humanitarian hostels.

On July 30 and 31, 105 Palestinians were killed and at least 680 were injured in attacks along these routes, especially in the Zikim area (northern Gaza), Moraz (South Han Juni), and near the GHF centers in Deir El-Balah and Rafa.

The UN notes that the Palestinian shootings and bombings by the Israeli forces continued, despite the army’s announcement on July 27 on a “temporary suspension” of military operations to “improve humanitarian response”.

“Most victims seem to be young men and boys,” the report adds.

The High Commissioner emphasizes that there is no evidence that the persons killed were involved in the conflict or were an immediate threat to Israeli forces.
