Its head of negotiator Hamas Halil al-Haja said the Palestinian movement wants “guarantees” from US President Donald Trump and the mediators that the Gaza war “will end once and for all”.
“We do not trust the conqueror,” Hamas negotiator said in the Egyptian media of Al-Qahera News, accusing Israel of violating two truce during the war. “The Israeli occupation has never complied with its promises. That is why we want real guarantees from President Trump and the guarantor countries.”
“We are ready (to work) for an agreement that will mean the end of the war, the departure of the Israeli troops from Gaza and an” exchange “of hostages and prisoners, he added.
