A mandatory online system for all visa appointments has been launched by the French government, which will require all travellers to register with this system, including those with Schengen short-stay visas and long-stay national visas.
According to local media, the new system is expected to facilitate the process of handling visa appointments, including eligibility checks, decreasing system bottlenecks, and preventing unnecessary bookings, Schengen.News reports.
The online procedure is mandatory for all travellers, without any exemptions being mentioned so far. Travellers planning a trip to France should expect these procedures and be prepared to fill out the new digital platform for visa appointments.
Here Is How Applicants Can Complete Their French Visa Application
Applicants have to go through the visa application process to obtain a French visa, which can be completed with portals such as Visa Wizard and Demarches Simplifiées.
The Visa Wizard page will help you determine if you need a visa, the type of visa you need, as well as other documentation and fees that need to be paid.
Visa appointments are available once the Visa Wizard confirms whether someone needs a visa to enter France. After this step, travellers are required to register on Demarches Simplifiées to book the visa appointment.
The form, which includes questions about the purpose of the trip, departure date, and how long the traveller will be staying, is found on the website.
The applicant will receive a confirmation letter upon completing the application. It is important for the applicant to provide only valid information.
As it was revealed, the further steps, such as collecting biometric data, submitting passports, and paying the visa fee, will be handled at the visa centre where the appointment is scheduled.
