Preliminary investigation against a 43 -year -old man in the category of homicide is done by the Ales Public Prosecutor’s Office in the south Franceafter allegedly drifting off his car and killed a fellow villager on the occasion of one quarrel among their children for a mobile phone.
The tragic fight was made on Thursday night in Saint-Marten-de-Valgalg, an old miners in its suburbs in France. Despite the intervention of the rescuers, the victim, a 56 -year -old man, succumbed to his injuries. The 43 -year -old was arrested and detained as suspected of homicide.
“There are many witnesses who say that he deliberately dragged” the victim to his car, said Ales’s prosecutor Abdelrim Green.
It all started on Wednesday, when the children of the perpetrator and the victim, two young people aged 18 and 19, quarreled for a mobile phone. Late on Thursday night, they met again on the streets of the village. One tried to apologize but in response he received a punch, according to the prosecutor.
Members of the two families, some thirty people, clashed with each other, handing each other. The father of a young man was removed, saying he would go to get his rifle. After entering his car, he turned and dragged the father of the other adolescent.
According to the interior ministry, 980 homicides were recorded in France in 2024, a 2% reduced compared to the previous year. The number of homicides has been slightly reduced in recent decades, as the year 2000 reached 1,051.
