OR Women’s National looked at .. France For a half time, but then “bent” and suffered a heavy defeat by her strong opponent! Greece lost 92-56 and will go on Saturday (21.06.2025) to “battle” with Turkey in the SEF for second place in the group, which will qualify for the next phase of Eurobasket 2025.
France proved in the chef’s parquet floor, which is considered the favorite of the Group and Eurobasket 2025. National basketball saw Fasoula “loaded” with a foul, found no solutions to the halftime halftime, so she suffered the defeat in the SEF.
We remind you that the “blue” were “silver” at the Paris Olympics and are present on the podium in the last eight Eurobaskets.
The teams after Friday (20.06.2025) return to action on Saturday, with France -Switzerland (17:30) and Greece -Turkey (20:30). National only wants a victory to move on to the next phase and leave the Turks.

For Greece, which broke the record for a National Women’s Race in our country since 2004 with a total of 8,860 spectators, Artemis Spanou stood out with 14 points and 5 rebounds, with Mariella Fasoula (11p, 4p) and Robin Park (7pm).

The match …
The race seemed in its first minutes that it would be a big battle! Minga Toure was the first “violin” of the “blue”, while Fasoula and Spanu were getting the aggressive efforts of the National Women (the first reached the two fouls early, which brought her a big problem). The two teams went together, with the blue-white taking the first lead (10-12) and the “blue” reacting.
With a “weapon” of its long shot (5/10 in a two-point shot and 3/5 of the three-point) France managed to complete the first quarter, previous with 21-17, but the national team was equal (Spanu had 8 points in the period).

Bosgana’s three -pointer with the start of the second period brought the National Women to -1, while Pavlopoulou’s shots and Park’s basket gave her the lead (21-24). The three-pointer brought the match back to balance (24-24). France continued to take points with long shots (reached 7/11 from three -pointer to the period) and thus kept a small lead, but the blue -white got 5 points from Pavlopoulou, while Spanu continued to play with a … soul. The visitors, however, raised tension in their defense and went to halftime, previously +7 (44-37).

The Women’s National tried to react to the 3rd period, but had hasty choices in the attack and saw Spanou and Fasula well closed. In fact, the second reached three fouls. France had offensive solutions and managed to grow the difference (53-40). The blue -white tried to make an outburst, but Fasula’s 4th foul grew up the “headache” of the Greek coach.
The French made a significant series (19-9) and reached 62-43, reaching their record triple on 10/16. In the third period 64-47 gave … a strong victory to the guests.
Greece was “delivered” in the last quarter. France pressed the … throttle, made a 28-9 series in the season, reached 12/19 on a three-point shot and “cleared” the match, reaching the final 92-56 and 2/2 in its Eurobasket group, which gave it the qualification to the next phase of the tournament.
