An 8-year-old lived a living nightmare in Strasbourg of France after his bicycle collided with a pedestrian tramas a result of which he finds himself trapped under the train.
The incident happened at around 16:45 in the Polygone district of Strasbourg, France, and according to the transport company (CTS), the boy was cycling with a friend when he suddenly entered the C tram line near the Saint-Christophe stop, forcing the driver to activate the emergency braking system.
In a video taken by a passerby, only the child’s legs can be seen sticking out in front of the tram.
The child was lucky, in his misfortune, to be trapped in a free space just below the driver’s cab, so he was not crushed.
The 8-year-old was freed by rescuers and CTS employees and then taken to the Hautepierre hospital for a check-up, while according to “Le Parisien”, he suffered only minor injuries.
“His small stature as a child saves him. The result of this accident is extremely happy. It’s incredible luck,” CTS noted to local media.
