Foreign Ministry – AADE: Memorandum of Understanding to facilitate trade

Memorandum of Understanding was signed today (24.7.25) between Foreign Ministry (General Secretariat for International Economic Relations and Extraversion – GRDO) and the Independent Public Revenue Authority (AADE), with the aim of enhancing cooperation in the areas of convenience of commerce, customs policy and extroversion.

The Memorandum systematizes and upgrades the existing cooperation between the GSRCOS (Foreign Ministry) and the AADE, focusing on initiatives that improve international trade and enhance the ability of the parties to design appropriate actions to enhance the extroversion.

In the Memorandum, among other things, it is foreseen:

  • Digital interconnection and providing information through the Single Window of AADE and the integration into the Agora Link gate, referring to AADE information for customs quotas, duties, export restrictions through the Taric system and more.
  • External trade statistics from AADE, regarding the number of traders, value and volume of trading by country, product and customs and output customs.
  • Information on customs and tax issues, such as customs simplifications and prevention of customs fraud, and co -organization of information events to enhance the extroversion and competitiveness of Greek businesses.
  • Education and Exchange of know -how with the participation of officials in the Economic and Commercial Affairs (OSH) sector in programs of the AADE Tax and Customs Academy (TSA), and the organization of seminars by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for AADE executives in terms of extroverts.
  • Enhancing cooperation and subscription internationally, with the coordination between Customs and Offices of OMOs for the smooth distribution of goods and the support of international representation and cooperation of AADE with counterparts abroad.

Deputy Foreign Minister Haris Theocharis said: “The Memorandum of Understanding we signed today is part of our broader reform work to facilitate trade and enhance business extroversion. The systematization of our cooperation with AADE will greatly enhance and direct our strengths to build a more effective, more competitive and ultimately stronger commercial Greece. “

AADE Governor George Pitsilis said: “Today we are laying the foundation for the effective upgrading and further development of our cooperation, which will bring multiplier benefits to the country’s economic and commercial dynamics. A true model of institutional partnership and achievement of synergies in the public sector, which paves the way for even more effective and innovative future initiatives. “

The signing of the Memorandum is provided for the Commerce Facility Road Map 2022-2026, which is the guide for the work of the Government Committee to facilitate trade, coordinated by the Secretary General of International Economic Relations and Extravagance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. For his part, Mr Skalkos praised the cooperation between GGCE and AADE, stating that “it confirms the will of the two sides to actively contribute to the support of extrovert entrepreneurship and improve the country’s commercial environment.”
