For the second year in a row, the title of the best new engine of the year is won by a total capacity of less than 1,000 cc. The famous 1.0 EcoBoost, which is currently installed in the Ford Focus and has a power of 100 PS and 125 PS, won the most votes in the competition in which journalists from all over the world participate. Last year the coveted title was won by Fiat’s 0.9 TwinAir. However, the most awards in the individual categories for 2012 were taken by BMW engines (in the categories 3.0-4.0 lt, 2.5-3.0 lt, 1.8-2.0 lt, 1.4-1.8 lt).
