Increased measures The whole of the country’s road network will apply the three -day Holy Spirit. OR Greek Police, In view of the expected highly increased movement of vehicles, due to the celebration of Pentecost and the Holy Spirit, they were implemented from Friday (6/6) to Monday (9/6).
Aim of the measures as highlighted by ELASis the safe movement of citizens and the prevention and preventing traffic accidents.
The design includes:
- -Axized traffic measures at the entrance-exits of large urban centers,
- -Stripped measures in massive passenger compartment (airports, ports, stations, etc.), as well as in the road network, where there is a frequency of traffic accidents, a frequency of traffic accidents, a frequency of traffic accidents,
- -Special actions within cities and in areas with festivities,
- -Compening of control garages, which will focus on dangerous violations, such as excessive speed, driving under alcohol, use of mobile phone during driving, non -use of protective helmet -security belt, irregular overtaking and dual -dividing overruns etc.
- – Co-operation and coordination with all relevant bodies- 24-hour services to address and resolve any problems that arise and
- -Instructing citizens through the competent body communication services, in any case where the public’s widespread information on the existence of any traffic and other problems is necessary.
In addition, ELAS points out that the checks will be continuous and rigorous, while both the staff and the media of the Greek Police, especially the Traffic Police Services, will be on increased operational readiness.
Prohibition of trucking more than 3.5 tonnes on the Holy Spirit three days
There will also be a prohibition on the movement of more than 3.5 tonnes permitted.
Specifically for the exit current, the ban on truck traffic will apply on Friday (6/6) from 16:00 to 22:00 and Saturday (7/6) from 08:00 to 13:00. For the entry current the ban will be valid on Monday (9/6) from 16:00 to 23:00
