Paranal of the fire became bees in her Chortiatis Thessalonikiby the great fire that broke out early Saturday afternoon (23.08.2025).
As the research has shown, The fire started from Melissia and expanded to a forest area of Thessaloniki. Firefighters managed to put it quickly under control due to immediate information from drones.
The Mayor of Pylea – Chortiatis, Ignatios Kaitezidis, in a post he posted, uploaded videos of the fire and wrote in the caption:
“It has been eliminated thanks to the timely information from a drone and the immediate mobilization of a Municipal Fire, Civil Protection and Volunteer.” He then thanked those who helped to extinguish.
Due to the fire, shrubs and holly trees were burned, and no residential area was threatened.
