Firefighters fight with the refreshments on the front of the big fire to Ierapetra which began on Wednesday (2.7.2025) and rages due to the stormy winds blowing in the area.
Shortly after the two message was sent to 112 to the residents and tourists in the 4 areas burning the fire to be removed from cleansee, Ferma Koutsounari and Kakia Lassithi and headed to Ierapetra.
Strong firefighters are constantly trying to extinguish the big fire, with over 230 firefighters and 10 aerial means.
The message of 112 said: “Forest fire in your area. If you are in the areas of Pure, Ferma, Koutsounari and Kakia Lassithi Skala, move away to Ierapetra. ”

In the huge fire extinguishing operation, they are assisted with project machines, aquifers and graders from OTAs and volunteers, and strong police forces are also on site.
