Overnight seems to be the battle of flames at the Kopidakis Wood Processing plant, located in Heraklion, since strong southern winds, flammable materials and water supply problems were some of the problems that played a decisive role so that the fire was quickly spread.
According to creta24.gr, more than 100 firefighters and from the four prefectures of Crete with 28 vehicles, 12 auxiliary and 2 EMAK teams rushed to the spot, trying to extinguish the fire so that it would not be expanded into adjacent businesses.
