Investigations continue into the double murder at a campsite in Finikounda, Messinia, with the authorities examining all available evidence in order to reach a solution to the mystery.
Testimony from the key witness

The perpetrators’ stay in the deserted location, as described by the key witness, is also confirmed by the new video document brought to light by Live News.
The exclusive video captures the moment when the white scooter leaves the dirt road to continue its journey towards Finikounda. The clock reads 18:23 Sunday afternoon, which means that the two young men who filled up gas at 14:37 and ten minutes later turned onto the dirt road past the iconostasis, remained at this location in the middle of nowhere for at least 3-4 hours, as if they were waiting for something or someone.
For this hour-long stop in the middle of nowhere, the defendants said they simply stopped and drank their energy drinks. The alleged executor revealed that his passenger was constantly talking on the phone. He counted at least 4-5 calls, while in one of them the witness happened to hear the phrase:
“And he said exactly ‘the other one hasn’t understood anything, I’m telling you’ nervously. Then he continued talking on the phone but he was walking away and talking more softly.”
As soon as he hung up, the young man with the guitar case on his back, as the witness described him, turned at a fork to find the second rider waiting for him. A fierce fight ensued:
“They were fighting. I couldn’t hear what they were saying. They sat for a long time. But I looked and saw a big white motorbike”.
The route of the perpetrators
The route they followed has been recorded by dozens of security cameras. The two perpetrators stopped at a gas station at 2:37 p.m., while they arrived at the Finikounda campsite at 8:14 p.m.
As can be seen, the perpetrators made several stops along their route. Which raises questions about whether they were waiting for a phone call from someone about what time they should arrive at the campsite.
The perpetrator’s wallet full of bills
When they had stopped at the gas station to get energy drinks, the young man pretending to be an accomplice walks in with his guitar case on his back, wearing his helmet and opens the fridge. Anetos goes to the cashier to pay.
As can be seen from the video published by Live News, the perpetrator, while he has testified to the authorities that he had no money and that is why he went to commit the robbery, finally had many 50 euro bills in his wallet when he went to pay for the energy drinks.
