Friends and relatives say goodbye at the cemetery Papagou the critic theater and writer Kostas Georgousopoulos.

The funeral of the theater critic Kostas Georgousopoulos also known by the pseudonym K.X. Myris, passed away last Saturday at the age of 87 in an atmosphere of sadness

Among the others at the Papagou cemetery to say goodbye to the great theater critic are George Babiniotis, Stamatis Fasoulis, Lydia Koniordou, George Kimoulis, Nikitas Tsakiroglou, Grigoris Valtinos, Manolis Mitsias.

Kostas Georgousopoulos was born in Lamia in 1937.

He studied at the Philosophy School of the University of Athens, at the Department of History – Archaeology, and theater at the Drama School of the Athens Conservatory with his teachers Dimitris Rontiris and Yiannis Sideris. He worked in private and public education.

In 2008 he was awarded the Great State Prize for Literature for his entire work.

Also, in 2006, the University of Athens, following the initiative of the Department of Theater Studies, awarded him an honorary doctorate.
