Today (17.4.2025) payments were made allowance to farmerswithin the framework of the De Minimis program by the Ministry of Rural Development and Food, through OPECEPE.
Farmers’ compensation relates to the income of incomes that have suffered damage to Attica, Evros, Imathia, Larissa, Pella, Kavala, Kozani and Florina.
Specifically, producers were damaged:
- from extreme weather and natural disasters during the period from 01/01/2024 to 31/08/2024,
- by falling Antonov aircraft,
- by the peach deformity and
- to forest trees growers (acacia).
In detail the payments relate to:
- Producers of figs and pistachios of the IP East Attica, totaling EUR 2,425 million.
- Apple Producers of the IP Larissa, totaling € 3.84 million.
- Castanos producers of the IP Larissa, totaling € 4.9 million.
- Producers Imathias, Kozani, Larissa, Pella and Florina totaling € 5.46 million.
- Forest trees (acacia) of the IP Evros, with aid, totaling EUR 1,416 million.
- Producers of the IP Kavala for damage from the fall of Antonov aircraft totaling 151,501.00 euros.
ELGA payments
Regarding ELGA’s payments to date, the Ministry of Rural Development and Food informs that the Agency has compensated with approximately EUR 125.3 million for losses of 2024, and in particular 121,928,432 euros for plant capital and EUR 3,400,000 for animal capital.
The amounts account for 80% of losses related to 2024 losses, which are expected to be completed in the coming period. Whereas, for the objections of 2023, 17,800,000 euros have been paid, an amount of applications that have been re -evaluated and not a difference between first and second findings.
