The far -right Minister of the Homeland Security IsraelIthamar Ben Gvir, opposed the agreement with the Hamas For a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, shortly before the cabinet meeting with the aim of approving the plan.
“The hearts of all of us are happy to think that all the hostages of Israel will be released (…) However, we cannot ignore the price: the release of thousands of Hamas terrorists, including 250 killers to be released, is an unbearably high price.”
“I cannot vote in favor of an agreement that releases murderers-trumpets,” Ben Gvir stressed, adding that his party would oppose as a government partner.
At the same time, he warned that the “Jewish power” party would throw the Netanyahu government in case Hamas is allowed to be maintained in power in the Gaza Strip.
