The president also made a statement SYRIZA, Socrates after the opposition left the plenary.
In detail the statement:
«It is obvious that Mr Mitsotakis is doing everything he can to not set up a preliminary committee for the OPECEPE scandal.
He is afraid of his Members, he cannot control his parliamentary group and at the same time fears the revelations that will be made within the preliminary committee.
For this reason, he literally narrowed the whole process, and today we have arrived to have only five New Democracy MPs left inside and preparing a package of letter votes. Has violated the regulation and has brutally affected the parliamentary process.
It is an insult to the Hellenic Republic.
It is a ridicule of Mr. Mitsotakis and the New Democracy. He does not want to reveal the scandals, because the New Democracy is responsible for the “blue locusts” that stole the money of farmers.
We will not legalize this process. That is why all the opposition, defending the Constitution and democracy, we have left and why the parliamentary rule is violated but also because Mr Mitsotakis does not respect the Greek citizens.
It is the best service we can offer to the Hellenic Republic. “
