The trade deficit in July 2025 amounted to EUR 2,921.7 million ($ 3,370.3 million) versus EUR 2,809.5 million ($ 3,007.4 million) in the same month of 2024, presenting increase of 4.0%. The corresponding value without petroleum products in July 2025 showed an increase in deficit by EUR 46.9 million, ie 1.8%, while the corresponding value without petroleum and ships in July 2025 increased by EUR 20.1 million, ie 0.8% compared to July 2024.

During the period January-July 2025, the total value of imports amounted to EUR 47.954.7 million ($ 52.811.5 million) compared to $ 49.633.3 million (53.519.4 million) over the same period of 2024, presenting Decrease 3.4%. The corresponding value without petroleum products increased by EUR 1,549.8 million, ie 4.2% and the corresponding value without petroleum and ships increased by EUR 1,450.9 million, ie 3.9%, compared to January-July 2024.

The total value of exports, at the same time, amounted to EUR 28,471.8 million ($ 31,530.1 million) versus € 30,060.7 million (32,611.4 million) in the same period of 2024, presenting reduction of 5.3%. The corresponding value without oils increased by EUR 1,025.2 million, ie 4.9% and the corresponding value without petroleum and ships increased by EUR 1,075.8 million, ie 5.1%, compared to January-July 2024.

The shortage deficit in January-July 2025 amounted to € 19,482.9 million ($ 21,281.4 million) compared to $ 19,572.6 million ($ 20,908.0 million) in the same period of 2024, presenting reduction of 0.5%. The corresponding size without oils increased by EUR 524.6 million, ie 3.3% and the corresponding size without petroleum and ships increased by EUR 375.1 million, ie 2.3%.
