“Extraversion is a national strategic choice. We support businesses and are actively looking for new markets for Greek exports, ”the Deputy Minister said Foreignresponsible for economic diplomacy and extroversion, Tasos Hatzivasiliouat the extraordinary meeting of the Extraversion Council at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where representatives of the relevant bodies were attended by the Secretary General of International Economic Relations and President of the Council, Mr. Dimitris Skalkos.
The meeting was held in the wake of developments in world trade. At the heart of the debate with the relevant bodies, there was the need to reinforce the Greek export presence in new markets.
Mr Hatzivasiliou noted that from the first moment the Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis, approached the issue of dictatorial with responsibility and European orientation. As he pointed out, “the attitude of the government was the appropriate from the outset” and is justified, as the need for a coordinated, single European voice on the issue of duties is now recognized, with the aim of concluding a mutually beneficial EU-US agreement, even with zero duties.
The Deputy Foreign Minister pointed out that “the solution is synergies and joint action” and called on representatives of the bodies to contribute with proposals and documented reason to the design of the national extroversion strategy. “We are here to support you and listen to you,” he said, stressing that the government is steadily supporting the interests of Greek trade and entrepreneurship.
Deputy Foreign Minister Tasos Hatzivasiliou said: “We met extraordinary on the occasion of the rearrangements in world trade. The attitude of the government, with sobriety and European orientation, proves to be appropriate. Greece is actively involved in the consultations and supports a common European line, aiming for a mutual benefit agreement. At the same time, we are taking advantage of the next quarter to shield the extroversion of Greek businesses, to strengthen existing markets and look for new ones. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, under Minister George Gerapetritis, implements a coherent extroversion plan. The solution is synergies. We are here to support Greek businesses and turn together every challenge into an opportunity. “
