Her extension of the tax deduction program of up to 16,000 euros for renovation real estate For 2025, the Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance, George Kotsiras, announced today (12.5.2025) on the show “Atavians” of the SKAI television station.
Specifically, the extension of the measure will be made by relevant legislation and is part of the tax measures taken to increase the supply of real estate on the market.
The measure satisfies a request by the Pan -Hellenic Federation of Real Estate Owners (POMIDA), while at the same time, as Mr Kotsiras pointed out, it will also contribute to the treatment of tax evasion, since, in order to benefit from the deduction, there should be documents.
Asked about the rate of tax returns, the Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance noted that this year it is doing extremely well, that tax refunds are being made very high and emphasized the contribution of both AADE and accountants to the smooth course of the process.
With the deduction provided for timely filing and repayment of the debt, the message is sent that “the consistent is rewarded,” Mr Kotsiras said, adding: “When something is institutionalized, organized and in a framework, it can and it can also facilitate the taxpayer.”
Referring to the economy in general, Mr Kotsiras stressed that, as the Minister of National Economy and Finance, Kyriakos Pierrakakis, has said, we want the good fiscal march to return to citizens as a dividend. “Our goal is for the good budgetary environment built with the hardships of the Greek citizen and the state’s wise management to turn back into the taxpayer’s pocket, so that the Greek citizen can see his incomes grow.”
Following on from our policy, at this year’s Thessaloniki International Exhibition, “the orientation is to bring tax measures, which will really help our maximum number of fellow citizens,” the Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance noted.
Finally, on the issue of removing the immobilization of IX vehicles, Mr Kotsiras noted that now, on April 1st of each year, the citizen would be able to pay for traffic by the month, removing the stillness of his vehicle for the time he wants to use it.
The permanent nature of regulation is part of the effort to create a stable tax environment and is a facility for the citizen and the market.
