Asked about the rate of tax returns, the Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance noted that this year it is doing extremely well, that tax refunds are being made very high and emphasized the contribution of both AADE and accountants to the smooth course of the process.

With the deduction provided for timely filing and repayment of the debt, the message is sent that “the consistent is rewarded,” Mr Kotsiras said, adding: “When something is institutionalized, organized and in a framework, it can and it can also facilitate the taxpayer.”

Referring to the economy in general, Mr Kotsiras stressed that, as the Minister of National Economy and Finance, Kyriakos Pierrakakis, has said, we want the good fiscal march to return to citizens as a dividend. “Our goal is for the good budgetary environment built with the hardships of the Greek citizen and the state’s wise management to turn back into the taxpayer’s pocket, so that the Greek citizen can see his incomes grow.”
