In Status of generalized introversion and conflict enters PASOK againwith the Case in Katerina Batzeli’s referral to the Ethics Committee to act as a reason for the complete explosion of the climate of intra -party polarization. The party’s low democratic performance seems to have “lifted the lid” and brought to the surface of old passions and new divisions.
Harris Doukas, who never digested his defeat in the intra -party elections, seems to have been waiting for the moment to re -challenge the leadership’s choices – albeit indirectly. Associates of the Mayor of Athens and a member of the PASOK Coordinating Political Center raise the tones, denouncing “two meters and two weights” from Harilaou Trikoupis and leaving clear spikes against Nikos Androulakis.
Batzeli, the drop that overflowed the glass
Katerina Batzeli’s referral was regarded by Duke as a selective punishment when – as they argue – others, much more public statements by executives, they did not spark any reaction from the leadership.
“We cannot deal with a member of the CCI member, while others have described Tempe as ‘memorial’, talking about collaborations with Konstantopoulou and Varoufakis or depreciate the need for elections,” they said.
Response Geroulanou: “Style Truth Group”
The answer came quickly and was poisonous. Associates of Paul Geroulanou, whose name is indirectly entangled in the Duke’s spikes, went to the counterattack:
“The adoption of nonsense and arguments” Truth Group “downgrades the political debate. It is a shame of PASOK executives to engage in such tactics. “
Embarrassment in Harilaou Trikoupi – equal distances with implied
In the face of the escalating intra -party war, PASOK’s leadership tried to throw the tones, with sources of Harilaou Trikoupis stressing:
“At PASOK we are working to make our party again the power of government change that the country needs. Those who are still in the period of intra -party elections are good to start working in that direction. “
A phrase that worked more as a hint to Harry Duke and his associates, rather than a unity bridge.
Duke’s counterattack: “PASOK must unite, not divide”
The Duke side, however, did not leave the leadership unanswered either. In a new leak, his associates come back heavier:
“PASOK must unite and not divide. To add and not to remove. Indeed, everyone has to do their job properly in PASOK and not look for atonement victims. “
To a lasting civilization?
The Batzeli case paved the way for a new cycle of introversion, with the backdrop of deterioration in measurements, strategy disputes and now clear personal ambitions. As the tricks deepen, the political narrative of Nikos Androulakis is tested.
And the question remains: Can PASOK convince citizens that he is ready to rule when he is unable to understand internally?
