The conditions for the time of students’ study in universities across the country set a ministerial decision announced today. This will be automatically deleted by students in six years.
The Deputy Minister of Education, Religions and Sports, responsible for Higher Education, Nikos Papaioannou, signed a ministerial decision under the authority of Law 5224/2025, with the aim of regulating procedural issues related to the application of article 76 of Law 4957/2022.
The Ministerial Decision provides:
Determination of the maximum time for students enrolled in the academic year 2022-2023 onwards, as well as for those who have been admitted to earlier years.
How to calculate the highest duration in academic years and its consequences.
The process of exercising the right to extend studies under certain conditions, with the possibility of an additional two or three academic semesters, as appropriate.
The possibility of an extraordinary vaccine exam for students who have up to two courses to complete their studies.
The deletion process and the possibility of practicing treatment.
Exceptions from the highest duration rule, for students with a certified disability of at least 50%.
