Turkey is ready to host Russia -Ukraine talks on a truce, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said.
Erdogan had telephone conversations with Russian President Vladimir Putin and his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron, who made it clear that Turkey is ready to host Russia -Ukraine negotiations.
“In their telephone conversation, President Erdogan told his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, that Turkey is ready to host negotiations that could lead to resolving the conflict in Ukraine,” the Anadolu agency said.
“Turkey is ready to host negotiations on a truce, but also for constant peace between Russia and Ukraine,” President Tayyip Erdogan told Emmanuel Macron’s French counterpart during a today’s telephone conversation, “he said.

It is recalled that with a statement The Russian president proposed to conduct direct Russia -Ukraine negotiations on Thursday (15.5.25) in Constantinople.
A few hours after Putin’s statement, Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski made a prerequisite for starting truce negotiations which should, he said, start immediately on Monday (12.5.25).
